Sarah de Graaff-Hunter of CAMPO CHIC has a varied creative background, with long experience in the arts, film and design worlds - ranging from working for several years at Sotheby's, Bond Street, where she gained an extensive knowledge of antiques, to being a Photographic Stylist for leading UK photographers in advertising and publishing, culminating in a very successful career as a Set Decorator and Designer for TV commercials and feature films.

Since 1998 Sarah has been living in Gaucin, Southern Spain, having spent some years previously in Provence. She has designed, built and renovated many houses in the Gaucin area and others in London, Provence, Tuscany, Marrakech and Southern Morocco. She also paints in oils and mixed media, and has exhibited and sold her work locally. She takes her inspiration for her paintings from the spectacular landscape of Spain, and her ideas for building projects and interior designs from the fascinating Moorish Al -Andalus culture of Andalucia which originated from Morocco, where she has travelled widely, sourcing rugs, furniture and decorative items for her projects and interior designs.
